Hadrian, AR Cistophoric tetradrachm. 10.98 g. Uncertain Asia Minor mint. Struck after AD 128. HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS P P, bare-headed, draped bust right. / COS III, Athena or Minerva standing left, holding patera, left hand on shield at her side and with spear resting against left arm. Often overstruck on a cistophorus of Augustus. RIC II 503; Metcalf Type 118, BMCRE 1071, RSC 294.
