Egypt Tetradrachm of VALERIAN I $35.00 Apr-15-00 laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Valerian I facing right, with Greek legends for A.K.P.LI.OVALERIANOS.EV.EVS. The reverse type features an eagle standing left, head right, wreath in beak. The regnal year LZ appears in the fields, indicating that this piece was minted in Year 7 of the reign of Valerian. Coin is struck a bit off center on a slightly irregularly shaped flan, but otherwise grades a Good VF, with Bold devices and legends where struck up, problem free surfaces, and attractive original colour. A very pleasing example of the type, Milne 4035.
