Naked figure of Amphilochos standing left holding laurel branch, boar at his feet, serpent-entwined tripod on base at right. Ref: Sear 4498; BMC 13. Grade: Good Fine, overall pitting, medium green patina, well centered. Die Axis: 150°. Weight: 20.33 g. Under the reign of Severus Alexander the city became a Roman colony, hence the Latin inscriptions. Ziegler (1993) notes only 14 coins from Mallus from the time of Valerian.
