The empire reached its greatest geographic extent under Trajan, the direct result of his many military triumphs. The obverse of this type depicts the laureate bust of Trajan facing right, with slight drapery on far shoulder, and Greek legends for AVTOK.KAIS.NER.TRAIANOS.SEB.GERM.DAC. The reverse type features the head of Zeus Ammon facing right, with Greek legends for DHMARK.EX.VPAT.Sigma. This denotes this coin as having been minted during the fifth consulship of Trajan. Coin shows a granular reddish patina, with a few areas of thicker patina, but otherwise grades F+, with clear devices and more than half the legends visible.
