Bare-headed and draped bust right, seen from behind Great God right on horseback, holding labrys over shoulder. RIC II -; Metcalf - (obverse die not recorded); BMCRE -; RSC -. VF. Overstruck on an uncertain cistophorus. Extremely rare and unpublished. One other example of this type has been published and it appeared in CNG sale 70, lot 1007. It was struck from different dies from this specimen though was clearly from the same mint and most likely the dies were engraved by the same engraver. This is the only other known speciemn of this type, there were no other examples in this hoard. The CNG specimen sold for $1955.00.
