Elagabalus AE 25 Marcianopolis Eagle Elagabalus, 218-222, AE 25 of Marcianopolis in Moesia Inferior, F-VF. Obv. Laureate bust right, with very prominent and detailed cuirass. Rev. Eagle standing facing, wigns spread, head turned right, holding wreath in beak. The coin is black with some earthen highlights. It is weak towards the top on both sides, cutting off part of the legends. Most of the portrait is well struck, although there is a little porosity, and the cuirass is especially well struck and detailed. The eagle also shows good detail except at the top, where the head is weak, and there is some light porosity.
