horse by bridle, spear in his left hand.

Notes: Scarce. Excellent youthful portrait. Having lost his 
twin brother, Titus Aurelius Fulvus Antoninus, Commodus was 
identified with the lonely twin Castor. There is an aureus 
of the same type (RIC 648, Aurelius). Some scratches, and 
possibly graffiti between S and C.
