Caracalla, AR tetradrachm of Caesarea Maritima, Palestine. AYT KAI ANTwNINOC CE, laureate head right. DHMARX EX YPATOC TO D, eagle standing right on serpent-entwined torch, head left, tail left, holding wreath in beak. Prieur 1659; Bellinger 363; Dura Hoard 6-7-10, 27. Contributed by Ralf Woellner, September, 2020 NOTE: Most coins sold by sellers as "Prieur 1662" are Prieur 1659. The difference is the form of the Omega in the obverse legend. Lower case Omega as w or W: Prieur 1659. Upper case Omega: Prieur 1662, citing Dura Hoard I, 19, but that is a coin of Diadumenian. Dura Hoard IV, 145 IS listed with an upper case Omega but the coin is described as "badly corroded" and there is no image of the coin, so the form of the Omega may be conjectural. I have yet to see the type Prieur 1662 offered for sale.
