Ancient Coinage of Caria, Stratonikeia


(Often confused with Stratonikeia, Lydia)
The remains of Stratonikeia, on the Yatagan-Milas highway, 6-7 km west of of Mugla, include an acropolis, ruins of a small temple, a theatre, a nymphaion, a significant bouleuterion and a gymnasium.
