Attribution:   Sear 430, Constantinople Mint, 578 - 579 AD
Obverse:       Crowned bust facing, wearing consular
robes, holding mappa and sceptre.

Reverse:       Large 'M' with cross above, 'ANNO' to
left, regnal year to right. 'CONA' in
exergue.

Size:          30 mm
Weight:        18.59 g

EF/aEF - exceptional example with great
detail and hard green patina on a
slightly oversized flan. Seldom seen
this nice. The 2 flat spots on reverse
correspond to the high points of the
obverse.
