Constantinople. + IhSUS XRISTUS nICA *, cross crosslet on globus 
above two steps; at center, medallion of four lobes containing 
facing bust of Nicephorus, with short beard, wearing crown and loros 
and dividing the inscription n / I–C / F; triple border ornamented 
with eight equally spaced globules / + nICHF’ En XW AVTOCRAT’ EVSEb’ 
bASILEVS RWMAIW’ in five lines, cross formed of dots above and 
beneath inscription; triple border ornamented with eight equally 
spaced globules. DO 6. Sear 1781. Extremely fine.
