(0.64 gm, 11h). Constantinople mint. Sole reign, 
1282-1295. ANDRONKO (downwards to left) DECPO 
(downwards to right), Andronicus standing facing, 
holding cross-sceptre and akakia, crowned by manus 
Dei / +KOMNHNOC O PALAIOLOGO, cross pattée with 
four pellets in quarters. DOC V 554; Bendall 94A; 
SB 2327. Rare with complete legends. ($500)

None of the references make note of the pellets in 
the quarters of the cross, even though some 
illustrated specimens clearly have them, and 
others apparently not.
