Obv: IOAN D G ANG FR ET HIB REGINA MDLIII, crowned and mantled bust of Lady Jane Grey three-quarters left, wearing necklace. Rev: Sun mintmark, IN TERRIS ANG ET HIB ECCLES CAPUT SUPREM, crowned Tudor rose, I-R, each surmounted by a rose, across fields. In a style meant to imitate the coinage of Henry VIII. Thicker and heavier than the genuine shillings of the time. Pagan Emery 87 in "Emery's Mint", BNJ 40, 1971.
