                             CRISPUS: A.D. 317 - 326

           Crispus was the oldest son of Constantine by his "consort"
          Minervina. He was named as Caesar in 316 A.D. and was also a
          competent military commander. He was executed by his father,
            Constantine I, on false evidence manufactured by Fausta.

                                Type Coin: AE-3
                                   Grade: F+++

              Obverse: CRISPVS NOB CAES, laurel bust left, holding
                                spear and shield

        Reverse: VIRTVS EXERCIT, two captives seated at foot of standard
                                 inscribed VOT X
