Roman Republic Vibia 2d AR Denarius 90 BC $40.50 06/17/99 Seller praetorian 90 BC under the authority of the moneyer C. Vibius C.f. Pansa. The obverse type depicts the medium laureate head of Apollo right, with hair collected in knot behind, symbol below chin and PANSA behind. The reverse features Minerva in quadriga right, with legends C.VIBIVS.C.F. in the exergue. Coin is struck on a smallish flan, and has several obverse banker's marks, but otherwise grades F, with major devices and legends clear where struck up. A nice example of this scarcer type, Vibia 2d.
