Roman Republic, Silver Denarius Obverse: Bust of Ceres left, slight drapery, head wreathed with corn; CAEICIAV (AE and AV in monogram) at on right; control letter E and dot behind above. Reverse: Two oxen yoked left, above plough, control letter R, and dot; L.CASSI in exergue. Condition: Near EF, Coin is much better than picture. The coin has light medium silver surfaces. Excellent metal with smooth light golden lustrous surfaces in the protected areas, some darker toning in the reverse upper field. Coin has decent relief with excellent detail on both sides. Nicely centered both sides. Crisp legends both sides. A choice example of this coin. Valuation: Why Valuation? Good metal, detail, centering and strike. Only a bit too much wear on the high points keeps it from being a choice EF.
