                                Description

     This piece was minted circa 137 BC, under the authority of the
     moneyer M. Baebius Q.F.Tampilus. The obverse type depicts the
     head of Roma facing left, with X below chin and TAMPIL behind.
     The reverse type features Apollo in a quadriga right, with ROMA
     below the horses, and M. BAEBI.Q.F. in the exergue. Coin is
     struck a bit off center on a smallish flan, but otherwise grades
     VF, with bold devices and legends where struck up. A very nice
     example of the type, catalouged as Baebia 12. All coins
     guaranteed genuine without limitations. Buyer pays
     postage/insurance, coin shipped on clearance of funds. PA
