Reverse - IMP T CAES DIVI VESP AVG P M, TR P P P COS VIII RESTITVIT in two lines around SC. RCV 2592, valued at $360 in VF. 26mm, 10.3g. The dual-line issues are the scarcer type for the Titus restoration series, and dont come up on the market often at all. TITUS (Vespasian's son) commissioned a broad commemorative series in 80AD, issuing coinage of all of his 'good' predecessors - Not only Emperors, but also family members like Drusus, Agrippa, and Germanicus. This series faithfully reproduced coinage struck over the past century, and all are very stylistically similar to the originals. The only difference was an addition to the legend on the reverse side, which would name Titus as the Emperor, and mention the restoration, in some fashion. All coins from this series are quite scarce and command prices considerably higher than the originals. Price US$ 46 euro 35.82 £ 24.46 AUD$ 60.96 CHF 55.58 CAD$ 51.41 Rates for 5/23/2006
