Rare Near Mint THEODOSIUS I GOLD Solidus
   with Constantinopolis - 382-383 AD

Superb Near Mint Gold Solidus of Theodosius I. This rare gold issue features a
large detailed portrait of the emperor and a beautiful reverse of
     Constantinopolis. The surface of this coin still maintains its
     high mint luster and is very well centered on both sides!
A coin of superb quality and rarity. 

     Obverse: Rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of
     Theodosius I facing right...D.N. THEODOSIVS P.F. AVG.
     Reverse: Constantinopolis seated facing, head right, holding
     sceptre and globe, foot on prow...CONCORDIA AVGGGS - CONOB
