Septimius Severus, AE30 of Pautalia. Magistrate Caecina Largus, 198-201 AD. Obv: AV T K.. CE.., laureate, cuirassed bust right. Rev: HGE KAIKINA LARGOU OVLPIAC PAVTALIAC, tetrastyle temple in three-quarters perspective, two steps, trees to left and right, with altars before; Apollo standing left within; on the right, statue of Zeus (?) standing half-left, leaning on sceptre; serpent in pediment. No 270: Temple seen from front, Hygieia within, different magistrate (HGE STA BARBAROU.. etc) No. 285: Temple seen from front, only one step, Aesklepios within, no mention of trees, altars or pedestals etc. No. 287: Complex mountain scene with temples, trees, flowers and numerous figures.
