Gordian III AE18 of Mastaura, Lydia. AD 238-244. 3.1 gr. AYT GORDIANOC, laureate, draped, cuirassed bust right. MACTAYREITWN, Dionysos standing left, holding kantharos and thyrsos, resting left arm on a column, panther at foot left. RPC VII 436 corrected (obv. legend etc.) Imhoof KM 2 var (legends. Contributed by Mark Fox, June 2014. Ex Uwe Naumann Berlin ("berlinum"). Note: RPC VII 436 omits the column on the reverse which is clear on the plate coin. It also has the obv. legend wrong, adding a K which is clearly not on the plate coin, and it also has the obverse legend break GO- wrong, which is also clear on the plate coin ! The RPC author notes "Munich, 21.4 mm, 3.91 gr. Listed under Antioch ad Maeandrum in the Munich collection, this coin is not listed in the SNG Munich volume for Lydia"
