Details:

Sardis, Lydia (struck during the reign of Caligula AD 37-41). Germanicus
and Drusus seated side by side on curule chairs / Legend within wreath.
Fine. This unusual coin was restruck with dies bearing only new legends (a
great story in itself). Therefore the central image appears as a cameo. For
an excellent article on this coin type see The Celator, Nov. 94. Very
unusual and quite rare. SGI 365.
