Mint: Constantinople. Comments: Eudocia's coins are very rare in general. As far as I know this is the first time that this particular type is being offered on Ebay! There is no need to say that this coin fits every collection. Eudocia was married to Theodosius II since a.d. 421. For a time she exercised considerable political influence, but in 441 she retired to Jerusalem and devoted the rest of her life to the erection of churches and monasteries. She died in a.d. 460.
