1291.   CORNELIA SUPERA,  wife  of  Aemilian.  AR  Antoninianus (2.48  gm).
Diademed and draped bust  right, resting on crescent / Vesta standing left,
holding patera in right hand, transverse sceptre in left. RIC IV 30; Hunter
1; RSC 5. VF, ragged flan, small flan crack, light porosity.($2000)

Nothing is known of this lady other than the information which is imparted
by her extremely rare coinage of Roman antoniniani together with several
provincial issues in aes. What evidence there is points to her having been
the wife of the ephemeral emperor M. Aemilius Aemilianus.
