  Constantinople mint. D N LEON[I]-INA AVG (sic), diademed and draped bust right /
  [V]IRTVS EI-PVBLICAE (sic), Victory seated right, inscribing Chi-rho on shield; CONE.
  RIC X 655 var. (legends); LRBC 2253 var. (same). Near VF, dark green patina. Very
  Rare! Estimate $750.



  This coin is apparently overstruck on an Æ 2 of Zeno I with legends D N LEONI-S P P
  AVG (obverse) and VIRTVS EXERCITI (reverse), RIC X 654. Other than the legends one
  can see indications on the obverse (ends of diadem of Leo's portrait) and reverse
  (hand holding a standard to the left of Victory). Also, both of these types of Leo
  and Verina are from the same issue of coinage.
