Pherai, Thessaly, AE17. 4th century BC. 3.81 g. Head of nymph Ennodia right. (FERA)ION retrograde around a fountain comprising of three lions' heads right on a wall, diota or amphora to right. Unpublished. Vecchi coll. 257 Contributed by Italo Vecchi, March 2019. This is an intriguing reverse. I was unable to identify it for Italo when he sent it to me. I even contacted a person who is trying to visit and document every ancient fountain in Europe, and he had never come across anything like it.
