PVBLICOS LIXOVIO,  flower of  four petals /  VERCOBRETO [CISIA]MBOS CATTOS,
Roman  style eagle  standing left,  wings spread.  CCCBM III  S133; Sheers,
Seine-Maritime, 280;  De la Tour 7159. EF,  lovely patina of varying shades
of green, slightly chipped. Very Rare.($750)

The legends on this thoroughly romanized Celtic issue contain a great deal
of information. The obverse legend has the approximate meaning "Public
semissis of the Lexovii". The reverse legend identifies Cisiambos Cattos as
the Vercobreto, a high magistrate chosen annually.
